Health & Safety

From the moment we first opened our doors in 2018, we’ve always had health and safety as a top priority and consideration.

In light of COVID-19, however, we’ve sought to further enhance those policies and procedures, as well as publishing them for all to read and parse before visiting our stores.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re always happy to chat.

Restaurants

  • Update as of 12/29:

  • South Congress Location: Per the recommendations put forth by the City of Austin and Travis County, we will be closing our indoor dining service and seating effective 12/29. To-go, curbside pickup, and delivery via Favor are still available, as well as outdoor seating on our patio to enjoy your to-go orders.

  • Legacy West Location: Our dining rooms are now open. We are requiring that customers wear protective face covering at all times except when seated and dining. To-go, curbside pickup, and delivery via Favor are still available.

Neighborhood Goods Stores

  • Neighborhood Goods is now open at Legacy West and South Congress from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day.

  • In-store and curbside pickup is available, as always, alongside same-day delivery and domestic shipping for retail orders.

Our Staff

  • Our staff will be required to wear masks at all times and wash their hands frequently, as well as participate in contactless temperature checks in the morning.

  • We are, as always, asking employees feeling unwell to remain home and backing this up with a comprehensive paid time-off policy to ensure there’s no concern over job security in doing so.

    • Limiting our hours to 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. also allows us to stick to one shift per day. We’ll be controlling the overlap in team members to ensure we can keep a close check on wellness and exposure.

  • Surfaces will be cleaned with extreme frequency throughout the day, while we’ll also be reducing entrances at each location to one. A member of staff will be stationed to ensure social distancing is observed and the doors are frequently cleaned.

Visitors

  • We will be limiting the capacity of our stores to 50%. We are fortunate to have large stores in Texas, so this ought to feel particularly open and freeing. Nonetheless, we’ve also modified the layout of both locations to maximize open spaces and avoid any bottlenecks.

  • We will be introducing in-store signage and vinyls to promote social distancing throughout the stores.

  • Products returned or tried on will be quarantined for a minimum of 24-48 hours after the fact.

  • Disposable masks will be made available to all visitors. We will also have contactless sanitizing stations, as well as improved contactless soap and towel dispensers in our bathrooms.

Questions

Are masks required for customers?

Legally, no. Ethically, we’d encourage it. It’s a small inconvenience and can make an enormous difference for the health and wellness of those around you, including yourself.

We’ll have free disposable masks in-store and would encourage you to use one, if you don’t have one with you. But it’s not compulsory.

When will hours return to normal?

We’re going to continue to monitor neutral guidance. When we feel confident we can provide a safe experience for our staff and our visitors, we’ll look to restore our hours.

What happens if the local health situation worsens?

We’ll close our stores again! We closed promptly as COVID-19 worsened in the US. We’ll do the same, if the situation warrants it, later this year.
